People generally feel more attracted to apps and games related to their favorite movies or TV shows. EA decided to take advantage of this fact and came up with a game set in our favorite fictional town of Springfield. Let's check out what The Simpsons: Tapped Out has to offer.
After Homer destroys the entire Springfield while playing a pay-to-win mobile game, it's your task to rebuild it and repopulate it with your favorite characters. The game was developed with the writers of the Simpsons and original voice actors for your favorite characters: Homer, Marge, Lisa, Maggie, Bart, and Ned Flanders, among others.
The game lets you control all characters in Springfield by assigning them various missions that reward you with money, XP points, and, most importantly, donuts! Yes, donuts are the game's most valuable currency. Doing so progresses the game and lets you expand Springfield and bring in new characters with their own lives.
The game is full of references to the show's most famous episodes and its fans will definitely have something to see there. The town feels alive and there's always something to do. As the game progresses you might notice that donuts are somewhat hard to come by. Building structures and completing tasks takes a while but you can speed it up with donuts.
The biggest problem with the game seems to be EA's servers. The game lags and even crashes because of them. Still, we love the fact that it's not a pay-to-win game and that you'll often hear funny remarks from characters, sometimes breaking the fourth wall!
